A cooler for cooling liquid such as beer or refreshing drink by using the desorption of gas from adsorbent 8 in a vessel 4 is formed with a thermally conductive material, directly comes into thermal contact with the adsorbent 8 and is provided with a plurality of thermally conductive elements 6 capable of being thermally conductive between a vessel wall 4 and the adsorbent 8 therein. These thermally conductive elements 6 can cooperatively transfer, upon their use, the gas desorbed from the adsorbent 8 to the wall of the vessel 4, namely, along the wall of the vessel 4 before the gas is exhausted from the vessel. This cooler provides more effective thermal conduction and passes the desorbed gas to the wall of the vessel 4 and along the wall of the vessel 4, so that it completely uses the cooling capacity of the desorbed gas.
