PURPOSE: To reduce the cooling time in a sprue part and to improve the productivity of a casting, by scooping the cooling water of the volume as much as the volume of a vessel for scooping out from a water tank and spraying the cooling water to the sprue with a guide pipe for the cooling water.

CONSTITUTION: When the charging of molten metal into a casting mold A is completed, a carriage placed the mold A advances by the length as much as the molding flask of the casting mold and the sprue 7a of the mold A is positioned below the output of a guide pipe C for cooling water. At the same instant when the carriage ends advancing by the length as much as one flask, a tilting cylinder 6 operates cooperatively with said end to tilt an arm flask 2 upward. The cooling water in a water tank (a) scooped by a vessel (b) for scooping is transferred to the inlet of the pipe C and the cooling water transferred therein flows in the pipe C and is sprayed through the outlet thereof to the sprue 7a of the mold A.
