PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device and method for a bag-in-box containing content subjected to hot filling, the device and method having satisfactory space efficiency for cooling the bag-in-box containing content subjected to hot filling, having satisfactory cooling efficiency, performing satisfactory quality management on the content filled inside the bag, and not contaminating a plug of the bag.SOLUTION: Bag-in-boxes C containing content subjected to hot-filling are subjected to pallet loading at an interval so as to receive cool wind on at least one of surfaces of each box and are cooled in a cooling device 1.
