Title:
COOLING DEVICE FOR REDUCED IRON AGGLOMERATED PRODUCT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003166788
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To efficiently produce a reduced iron agglomerated product and to minimize energy required for fusion of the agglomerated product in an electric furnace.

Plural spray nozzles 1 are arranged with intervals in a conveying direction above or above and below a conveyer 6 fixed on a discharge port 7 of a reduced iron agglomerated product manufacturing facility for continuously ejecting spray water from the respective spray nozzles and intermittently cooling the agglomerated product on the conveyer. Relation between a spreading width B in the conveying direction of the spray water and an arranging pitch P of the spray nozzles is set to be 1.2×B≤P≤10×B. Relation between the spreading width B and a spreading width W in a conveyer width direction of the spray water is set to be W≥2×B. Relation between the spreading width W and a conveyer width CW is preferably set to be CW≤W. By the intermittent cooling, cooling is done immediately and re-oxidation by air is restrained. Moisture content is controlled low and accordingly the risk of phreatic explosion is eliminated at the time of throwing into molten metal.
