To cool a tank capable of performing a cooling operation of a wide range of temperature from a high temperature to a low temperature under application of brine.
This tank is constructed such that an outer circumference of a main body 11 of the tank defining a storing section 11a is provided with a jacket wall 12 so as to define a brine passage 12a. In this case, an inlet of the passage 12a is connected in parallel with a first brine going passage pipe 15 and a second brine going passage pipe 16, each of opening or closing valves 17, 18 is placed. An exit of the passage 12a in connected in parallel with a first brine returning passage 19 and a second brine returning passage 20, each of opening or closing valves 21, 22 is placed the first brine going passage pipe 15 and the returning passage pipe 19 are connected to a heat pump type first cooling device 30. The second brine going passage pipe 16 and the returning passage pipe 20 are connected to a water-cooled type second cooling device 40. When the temperature of brine is low, the brine is heat exchanged by the first cooling device 30e to cool the storing part in the storing section 11a, and in turn when the temperature of the brine is high, the brine is heat exchanged by the second cooling device 40 to cool the stored items.
