Abstract:
To suppress the occurrence of a leaked magnetic field while miniaturizing a cooling device utilizing an adiabatic demagnetization.
The cooling device comprises a vacuum vessel 41, an adiabatic demagnetization freezing section 60 (that is internally installed in the vacuum vessel 41 and has a super-conductive magnetic coil 52, a magnetic material salt pill 58, a thermal switch 65, and the like), and a GM freezer 70 for cooling the magnetic material salt pill 58 via the thermal switch 65. The position of the vacuum vessel 41 for surrounding the super-conductive magnetic coil 52 and the magnetic material salt pill 58 is formed of a magnetic material, and the occurrence of a leaked magnetic field is suppressed.
