To facilitate carrying of a cooling medium recovering device and a cylinder dedicated for recovery, to easily recover cooling medium even in a narrow space or a place difficult for moving, to simplify operation, and to reduce the risk of operation error.

In this cooling medium recovering device, a small cylinder dedicated for recovery capable of recovering cooling medium equivalent to quantity of cooling medium contained in a small freezing device or an air conditioner or the like is detachably installed. For eliminating operation valves and pressure gauges from the cooling medium recovering device while enabling recovering work, capillary tubes or orifices are provided between an intake port of the cooling medium recovering device and an intake port of a compressor, and between an intake port for cylinder gas cooling medium of the cooling medium recovering device and an intake port of the compressor. Operation is simplified to minimize the risk of operation error, and compactness and low cost are achieved.
