The milled rubber material 1 obtained by milling in a band shape is conveyed while being hooked across a space between adjacent movable rollers 12a and 12a of a milled rubber material suspending means 12. Then, atomized cooling water is sprayed onto this conveyed milled rubber material 1 from an atomizer 13 installed on a ceiling 11a of a cooling chamber 11. In addition, an evacuation fan 14 is installed inside an evacuation passage 11m arranged on a floor 11b of the cooling chamber 11. A moisture depositing on the surface of the milled rubber material 1, can be easily vaporized by evacuating the air containing the atomized moisture inside the cooling chamber 11.
