Abstract:
To provide a cooling plate having shape stability definitely improved in the technological level throughout the operation condition, and accordingly capable of prolonging its life.
The cooling plate is a component of a furnace wall in a metallurgical furnace, particularly a melting furnace or a shaft kiln. The plate is formed of copper or a copper alloy. A duct for cooling medium penetrates the plate, and the side of the cooling plate facing to the inside of the furnace is provided with at least one layer having a heat conductivity smaller than the copper base material.
