A control device 40 implements the control for pre-cooling operation before the defrosting operation. That is, it controls a Stirling refrigerating machine 40 so that a temperature of the freezing compartment 80 becomes lower than a set temperature. Then it receives the temperature information specifying a temperature in the freezing compartment 80 from a temperature sensor 81, and the temperature information specifying a temperature of a low-temperature part of the Stirling refrigerating machine 40 from a temperature sensor 44. Thus the control device 30 judges that a secondary refrigerant is frozen in loop piping 56 when the temperature in the freezing compartment 80 rises, and the temperature of the low-temperature part of the Stirling refrigerating machine 40 is lowered, and outputs a power distribution command to a defrosting heater 62. As a result, an evaporator 57 is heated, and the secondary refrigerant frozen in the loop piping 56 is melted.
