Abstract:
To provide cooling structure of a rotary electric machine which can suppress pressure loss when the air is introduced in a housing from a direction crossing a rotational axis.SOLUTION: Cooling structure of a rotary electric machine comprises: a housing which accommodates a stator and a rotor; and a duct which introduces cooling air in the housing from a direction crossing a rotational axial direction of the rotor. The duct comprises a pair of eddy suppression parts which change flow channel width in a height direction crossing the rotational axial direction and an extension direction of the duct like a curve inside. Each eddy suppression part forms a convex shape having a first area facing an entrance side of the duct to narrow down the flow channel width in the height direction and a second area connected with the first area to widen the flow channel width in the height direction toward an exit side of the duct.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
