To provide a cooling system effectively ensuring lubricating and sealing performances of a compressor and improving cooling efficiency regardless of an outside air temperature and a temperature condition of a refrigerant discharged from a compressor.
This cooling system includes an oil separator at a discharge side of the compressor, and an oil returning passage for returning the oil separated from the refrigerant by the oil separator to a suction side of the compressor. When the discharged refrigerant temperature Td is a prescribed temperature Td2 or more in returning the oil to an oil returning passage, an oil flowing degree is increased according to the rise of a discharged refrigerant temperature Td, and the oil flowing degree is decreased according to lowering of the discharged refrigerant temperature Td (S10, S12) by PID control, while, when the discharged refrigerant temperature Td is less than the prescribed temperature Td2, the oil flowing degree is decreased according to rise of the outside air temperature, based on a prescribed arithmetic expression (S10, S16).
