Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cool high-temperature dried coal inexpensively.SOLUTION: A cooler 120 includes: a mixing section 210 for mixing dried coal DC (object to be cooled) dried by being heated in a dryer 110 and ferromagnetic particles SP having a lower temperature than that of the dried coal DC with each other; and a separation section 220 including magnets to separate a mixture MX of the dried coal DC and the ferromagnetic particles SP that has been generated by the mixing section 210 into the dried coal DC and the ferromagnetic particles SP. Since being solid, the ferromagnetic particles SP have larger thermal capacity than that of gas. Thus, compared to a conventional technology for cooling by using inert gas, the dried coal DC can be cooled by using extremely smaller amount of ferromagnetic particles SP. Therefore, this can cool the dried coal DC efficiently and inexpensively.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
