An exhaust port 4 and a blower 20 are provided in an upper part of a tower main body 2 of the cooling tower 1, the first suction port 3A and the second suction port 3B are provided respectively in both side parts of the tower main body 2, the first packed material part 5A is provided between the first suction port 3A and the exhaust port 4, and the second packed material part 5B is provided between the second suction port 3B and the exhaust port 4. A partitioning plate 10 is provided to partition the first packed material part 5A from the second packed material part 5B, in the cooling tower 1. The first guide part 11A for guiding gas passed through the first packed material part 5A to the exhaust port 4, and the second guide part 11B for guiding gas passed through the second packed material part 5B to the exhaust port 4 are further provided respectively in both sides of the partitioning plate 10.
