The cooling unit includes a plurality of fans, having a changeable blowing direction, for blowing air to a cooling object, and a plurality of temperature sensors, each installed on the cooling object correspondingly to each of the plurality of fans, for detecting the temperatures of the cooling object. The cooling unit further includes a control section, connected to the plurality of fans and the plurality of temperature sensors, for periodically reading the temperatures detected by the plurality of temperature sensors, and when a difference between any two of the read detection temperatures is a first reference value or greater, orienting the blowing direction of the plurality of fans to the installed direction of the temperature sensor having detected the maximum value of the detection temperatures, and after the blowing direction is controlled, when the detection temperature of the temperature sensor having detected the maximum value of the detection temperatures becomes a second reference value or greater, increasing the revolution speed of at least one fan among the plurality of fans.
