PURPOSE: To obtain an inexpensive and simple coordinate detector by providing the coordinate detector in a case where a micro-computer, a video interface, etc., are stored, and also providing a storage medium capable of storing a program for desired display on a home television so that this medium can be freely attachable/dettachable to and from this case.

CONSTITUTION: A tablet 2, a pen exciting circuit 4, a coordinate detecting circuit 5, a microcomputer 6, and a video interface 8 are stored in a case 1. A stylus pen 3, an application storage medium 7, and a home television 10 are connected to connection terminals T1,T2, and T3 of the case 1. For example, an application storage medium 70 for 'drawing' is connected to the terminal T2. Areas 21,22 and 23 for selection of colors, line classification, erasers, etc., are provided on a sheet of paper 20 of the tablet 2. A child can use the pen 3 and the sheet of paper 20 to draw a picture on the television 10 while selecting colors, line classifications, etc., in areas 21 to 23.
