Title:
COORDINATE INPUT DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07134631
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the accuracy of a coordinate input device.

CONSTITUTION: When the vibrations are supplied to an effective area A of a vibration transmitter plate field from a viblating pen 3, the differences are meaured between the time when the vibrations reach a sensor 6a and the time when the vibrations reach other sensors 6b-6d. Under such conditions, it is impossible to obtain the correct coordinates from the measured time difference in an area B which is almost equally distant from the sensors 6b-6d. In this connection, the sensors 6e and 6f are used in place of sensors 6c and 6d. Thus the points which are equidistant from each sensor are shifted from each other. As a result, the correct coordinates can be acquired even if the vibrations are supplied to the area B.
