To provide a coplanar filter and method of forming the same in which an increase of a power loss is avoided by reducing a maximum current density in a resonator in a structure where the accuracy of design is easily maintained, and the destruction of a superconductive state can be prevented even if a conductor is comprised of a superconductive material.
In a coplanar filter comprising coplanar resonators comprised of dielectric substrates, center conductors and ground conductors formed on the dielectric substrate and coplanar input/output terminal sections coupled with the resonator via a coupling part, one of a ground conductor spacing and a center conductor line width in the coplanar resonator is made to be greater than a corresponding ground conductor spacing or center conductor line width in each of the input/output terminal sections.
