PURPOSE: To obtain a copper complex of a fiber-reactive monoazo compd. which has improved compatibility with fiber-reactive dyes, dyeing properties, and fastness properties by reacting a specified compd. with 2,4,6- trifluoropyrimidine.

CONSTITUTION: A compd. represented by formula I or II (wherein R1 represents H, a halogen, a 1-4C alkyl or the like; R3 and R7 each represent H or sulfo; Rd represents -NR2-H or formula III; R2 represents H, a 1-4C alkyl, or a 2-4C hydroxyalkyl; W1 represents formulae IV to VI; Hal represents fluoro or chloro; t and m are each 0 or 1; N marked with * is attached to C of the triazine ring; B1 represents a 2-6C alkylene or -2-3C alkylene-Q-2-3C alkylene- wherein Q represents -O- or -NR2-; and Rk represents formula VII or formula VIII) (1 mol) is reacted with not less than 1 mol of 2,4,6-trifluoropyrimidine to obtain a copper complex of a fiber-reactive compd. represented by formula IX.
