It is a manufacturing method of the copper infiltrated iron powder metal product, and a process consists of compressing and sintering material majority of which are iron powder, and forming an iron base matrix which contains about 1-7 wt% nickel and about 0.1-1.2 wt% phosphorus, and infiltrating copper into a pore of the iron base matrix. A quantity of infiltrating copper is 2.0-23 wt%. It is good to carry out infiltrating copper into an iron powder compression molding body simultaneously with sintering the iron powder compression molding body. This product has high tensile strength and high elongation percentage.
