Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3435277
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To limit free copying by the user of information depending on the will of the supply source of the information such as a writer.
SOLUTION: The possibility of copying is arbitrarily shown while using a copy write flag and an original copy flag determined by an ISO/IEC13818. At a television receiver with which the prescribed information of images or the like is reproduced and outputted from the digital signal in the signal format determined by the ISO/IEC13818, based on the copy write flag and the original copy flag, a copy flag state detecting means 3a discriminates whether the digital signal having these flags can be copied or not. When it is discriminated that copy is enabled, a switch 6 is turned on so that a normal signal for reproducing this prescribed information can be outputted as a signal for recording. Besides, when it is discriminated that copying is disabled, the switch 6 is turned off so that the signal for recording is turned into non-signal state.
