PURPOSE: To save the waste and labor at the copying time, by providing a television camera and a display material for monitoring by which a setting condition of an original is observed from the inner side and by monitoring how a setting for the original is performed within the limit of the desired size.

CONSTITUTION: A television camera 12 for monitoring is provided at the lower part of a transparent table on which an original is placed, and when a monitor switch is turned on, a light source for lighting 13 is lighted, and a user can observe the setting condition of the original at the real time about a signal from the camera through a cathode-ray tube or other display 11. Then, a light source for copy 14 which is turned off is placed at the position where it is out of a visual field to see the original of the television camera 12 or it does not get the way together with a mirror 15, etc.
