PURPOSE: To shorten the transfer time ad transfer distance of transporting devices and to shorten the waiting time for the transfer and receipt of disks so as to enhance the efficiency of operations by disposing drivers, hoppers and stackers in prescribed form.

CONSTITUTION: The drivers are installed by superposing the same in at least two steps. Further, the hoppers 5 are disposed in symmetrical positions on both sides of the guide rails of the transporting devices (carriers). The positions where the disks are transferred and received to and from these carriers are so determined that the disks pass before and forward and the carriers are constituted liftably. Further, the stackers 120 with house the normally recorded disks are juxtaposed with the hoppers 5. The length of the guide rails is shortened and the wasterful time of the respective associated devices is shortened. The device is thus constituted compact cover the entire part.
