Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost, reliable and efficient cord connection defect inspecting device.
SOLUTION: This cord connection defect inspecting device 20 for a harness 11 has a worm gear 1 rotationally driven by a motor 3 to a rotational direction R1; a roller 2 rotationally driven by a motor 4 around an axis C2 to a rotational direction R2, disposed axially parallel to an axis C1 of the worm gear 1 such that the peripheral face of the roller 2 abuts on the worm gear 1 or is close to the worm gear 1; and a lock member 5 comprising a pedestal 6 and a press plate 7, locking a housing part 12 of the inspected harness 11 near the worm gear 1 by pinching the housing part 12 between the press plate 7 and a step part 6a of the pedestal 6, and retaining the housing part 12 such that the housing part 12 is slidable in a parallel direction (an arrow Z) to the axis C1 of the worm gear 1. Cords 13 are inserted into between tooth roots of the worm gear 1 and the roller 2 such that the cords 13 are sequentially pinched, with inserting the housing part 12 of the inspected harness 11 into the lock member 5. Thereby, the imperfectly inserted connection defect cord 13 is pulled out by the roller 2 as it is sent by the worm gear 1.
