PURPOSE: To contrive the lightness of weight in a cordless iron part while enabling continuous work to be attained so as to improve work efficiency by providing a proximity sensor detecting the cordless iron part approaching to generate an on-off signal and a control part controlling an excitation current in a field generating coil by the on-off signal of the proximity sensor.
CONSTITUTION: A control part 8, comprising a control circuit 5 and a switching element 6, on-off controls an excitation current in a field generating coil 2. When a cordless iron part 1 is brought into the predetermined range of an iron work bed, a generated magnetic field 11 is concentrated to a surface part starting induction heating by an eddy current 12 by a skin effect of a magnetic metal plate 1A, so that the waiting time from a proximity sensor 3 acting to ironing work by thermal pressure work enabled can be shortened. While heat generation in the surface part is spread by conduction to a total unit of the magnetic metal plate, increasing an accumulated amount of heat, so that the ironing work at a suitable temperature can be continuously performed with no sudden decrease of temperature in the magnetic metal plate 1A, and the lightness of weight can be attained of the cordless iron part because of even no necessity for increasing a thickness of the metal plate 1A.
