Abstract:
To provide a cordless iron that is light in weight but has an amount of steam and steam duration required for ironing.SOLUTION: An iron body 1 comprises: a base 6 having a vaporization chamber for vaporizing water; and a base plate 7 provided on the bottom surface of the base 6 and having a steam ejection hole. The iron body is configured to heat the vaporization chamber together with the base 6 to eject the steam generated in the vaporization chamber from the ejection hole, and is configured such that the ratio of an entire contact area where the base 6 and the base plate 7 are in contact to an entire lower surface area of the base 6 is 50% or less. Therefore, more air space can be created between the base 6 and the base plate 7 to improve heat insulation, and the base 6 can be heated to a higher temperature to raise the temperature of the base 6 side, so that the heat storage property of the iron body 1 can be improved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
