Abstract:
To provide a corduroy having a weft triple woven structure, which has a soft bottom surface and warm touch feeling, and a process for producing the same.SOLUTION: There is provided a corduroy having a weft triple woven structure, which contains minimum weave change units composed of a plurality of warp yarns 1, a plurality of ground weft yarns 2, a plurality of pile weft yarns 4, and a plurality of lower weft yarns 3. Each of the minimum weave change units has a front surface side and a back surface side. The plurality of warp yarns 1 is juxtaposed; the ground weft yarn 2, the pile weft yarn 4 and the lower weft yarn 3 are alternately arranged in the longitudinal direction of the warp yarn 1; the ground weft yarn 2 and the warp yarn 1 are disposed in such a manner that they alternately rise and fall and are entangled with each other; both ends of the pile weft yarn 4 are placed on the front surface side of the minimum weave change unit, and at least a part of the pile weft yarn 4 is placed on the back surface side of the minimum weave change unit; and the lower weft yarn 3 and the warp yarn 1 are disposed in such a manner that they alternately rise and fall and are entangled with each other. Thus, the weft triple woven structure is formed by the ground weft yarn 2, the pile weft yarn 4 and the lower weft yarn 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
