PURPOSE: To continuously perform core supply, coil winding, etc., by disconnecting a core chuck from a chuck rotating driver and revolving the core chuck together with an indexing table when the table is rotating.

CONSTITUTION: After a multi-terminal core 60 is held by a core chuck 13 at a feed station 14, an indexing table performs one-sixth rotation. After the core is passed through a holding station 15, the indexing table performs one-sixth rotation further and the core chuck is conveyed to a first coil manufacturing station 16. At this station, the chuck 13 is engaged with a chuck rotating driver installed on a base 11 and the core 60 is rotated to effect coiling. The table 12 performs one-sixth rotation still further to convey the chuck 13 to a second coil manufacturing station 17. When the table 12 is rotating, the chuck 13 is disengaged from the chuck rotating driver. The chuck 13 is thus repeatedly engaged and disengaged with the chuck rotating driver to perform prescribed coiling operation.
