Abstract:

To provide core-shell type polymer particulates having a narrow particle size distribution (having a uniform particle size) which can be simply and efficiently produced.

A method for producing core-shell type polymer particulates having a particle size of about 20-500 nm comprises subjecting a PEG-containing polymeric azo initiator and a hydrophobic vinyl monomer to soap-free emulsion polymerization in water and/or an alcohol.
