To provide a novel cork plate which can be used for various purposes such as building interior material, inner underlay of shoes, sheet for pillow and the like, which will be related to promotion of health of users, and a method for manufacturing it.

Crushed cork materials are molded into a plate-like form by a resin binder, and powder of ore which generates negative ion due to pressure and/or temperature change is added to the cork plate. The cork plate containing the powder has not only excellent heat insulating property, elasticity, insect- proof property, sound absorbing property, ventilating property, but also has an action to radiate negative ion, so that health of dwellers and users can be promoted.
