PURPOSE: To obtain a cornea-subepithelial opacity inhibitor, especially capable of efficiently inhibiting cornea-subepithelial opacity observed in some case after a surface cornea resection operation by excimer laser.

CONSTITUTION: A cornea-subepithelial opacity inhibitor containing γ-interferon or its variant as the active component is prepared into a dosage form capable of local administration. Especially eye drops or an eye ointment is preferably prepared by using an isotonicating agent, a buffering agent, a stabilizer, a preservative, a pH adjuster, an eye ointment base, etc., generally used for eye drops and an eye ointment.
