PURPOSE:To obtain concentrated irradiation to the part that is not covered by the irradiation of a headlamp by making the gradient of the irradiating direction variable characteristics smaller (larger) if the steering angle is over (under) the predetermined steering angle, in varying the irradiating direction of a lamp light means in linkage with the handle steering operation. CONSTITUTION:The pulse-shaped electric signal corresponding to the amount of revolution of a revolving disc 1 is produced from a photosensor 2 that is placed in the vicinity of a revolving disc 1 whose movement is linked with the handle steering, and this electric signal is input into a control signal producing circuit 3. This producing circuit 3 periodically produces the control signal with a pulse width corresponding to the steering angle, and this control signal is input into a servo-motor control circuit 4. Next, an electric motor 46 is controlled in such a manner that the directional discrepancy between the actual direction of irradiation of a headlamp as a lamp light means and the target direction of irradiation determined based on this steering angle is eliminated, thereby changing the direction of irradiation of the headlamp to the proper direction. In this case, the motor 46 is controlled in such a manner that the gradient of the irradiating direction variable characteristics becomes large if the steering angle is smaller than the preset angle and becomes small if the steering angle is greater than the preset angle.
