A sandwich W is advanced by the action of a reciprocating cylinder via an operation instruction, shifted to a baffle member 15 by a roller conveyor 1, detected by a detecting sensor 30, brought into contact with the baffle member 15 at its one side section (b), and changed in direction by the shifting force of the roller conveyor 1. The baffle member 15 is retreated by the shrinking action of the reciprocating cylinder after the sandwich W is changed in direction by 45° and one diagonal line is matched with the feeding direction, and the sandwich W passes to the downstream side. When a detecting sensor 31 detects the sandwich W passing through the portion of the baffle member 15, centering members 21, 22 are moved nearby by the action of a moving cylinder to locate the sandwich W at the center position, then the centering members 21, 22 are moved apart to send the sandwich W to the downstream side.
