PURPOSE: To increase the efficiency of correcting work, by corresponding the slip data on a display with an error slip shown to the operator by a slip feeding device.

CONSTITUTION: A slip feeding device 5 having hoppers 2 and 3 at its both sides is installed to an optical character reader 1. The device 5 is made freely transferable an error slip 6 put into the hoppers 2 and 3 to the hoppers 2 and 3 through the inside of the device 5. A window 5a is provided to the device 5 to show the slip 6 to the operator. Furthermore, a scanner 7 is added to the device 5 to read the number, etc. attached to the slip 6, and a symbol recognizer 9 is connected to the scanner 7. In such way, the correction is facilitated for such a slip that has not been read at a slip input part 12 since the data on a keyboard display 13 coincidences with the slip shown by the device 5.
