PURPOSE: To improve a surface mounting type electronic component in positional accuracy of mounting by a method wherein the movement of an X-Y robot is corrected by a waviness volume when the X-Y robot moves a suction nozzle mounted with a surface mounting type electronic component to a prescribed position.
CONSTITUTION: The waviness volume of a reference rail of an X-Y robot is previously measured on X-Y coordinates and stored, the prescribed position of circuit forming member 6 is recognized by an image recognition camera 4, and when an X-Y robot moves a suction nozzle 5 mounted with a surface mounting type electronic component to a prescribed position, the movement of the X-Y robot 1 is corrected by the waviness volume. By this setup, a surface mounting type electronic component is improved in positional accuracy of mounting.
