Abstract:
To provide a method for correcting a position reading value of a position detector for detecting the position of a rotary joint of a joint structure.SOLUTION: A method for correcting a position reading value of a position detector that includes a disk having magnetic rings including magnetic pole pairs, and a magnetic sensor assembly having a magnetic sensor array for detecting the magnetic pole pairs of the magnetic rings. The method includes the steps of: for each magnetic pole pair of the magnetic ring, obtaining a calibration magnetic pole pair position reading value using the magnetic sensor array; generating a magnetic pole pair correction function by comparing a calibration magnetic pole pair position reading value 73 with a model magnetic pole pair position reading value 72; generating the average magnetic pole pair correction function of the magnetic ring by averaging the magnetic pole pair correction functions of the magnetic pole pairs of the magnetic rings; obtaining a position reading value including a plurality of magnetic pole pair position reading values using the magnetic sensor array; and generating a correction position reading value by subtracting the average magnetic pole pair correction function from each magnetic pole pair position reading value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
