Abstract:
To correct a probe chord error in a machine tool 10 containing a rotational member 16 for supporting a workpiece 28 and a probe 26 having a moving path.
For correcting the probe chord error, an observation diameter of the workpiece 28 is measured by means of the probe 26, and then, a crossover error of the machine tool 10 is found. Subsequently, the probe chord error is corrected when an actual diameter of the workpiece is calculated by using the observation diameter and the crossover error.
