Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a correction tape dispenser having a tip provided with means for accurately pressing a tape against a surface.
CONSTITUTION: A tape 4 carrying a correcting composition fed from a supply spool 2 passes around the edge 6 of a tip 5 used to press the tape 4 against a paper surface to transfer the layer of correcting composition onto the paper surface, and is fed back to a take-up spool. The edge 6 is tilted relative to the feed direction of the tape 4 and the tip 5 includes guide means 22, 23 for redirecting the tape 4, so that a tape dispenser is held in a forwardly and downwardly inclined orientation similar to that in which a writing instrument is normally held. The guide of the tape 4 is essentially the same on both sides of the tip 5 and the tape 4 is twisted through 90° in passing from a projection 22 to the edge 6 and is further twisted through 90° between the edge 6 and a projection 23.
