To provide a method for producing a corrective undergarment relating to a sewing technique enabling correction of the body of a wearer into a beautifully balanced one only by wearing it, by which a place, a direction and correcting force necessary for the undergarment are provided, and which is inexpensively produced.

The method for producing a corrective undergarment 1 comprises: using tightening cloth 3 for forming a tightening part 4 applying correcting force to the human body shape; employing single stretchable material as the tightening cloth; folding the tightening cloth 3 into multiple layers at a portion desired to apply correcting force and in a direction desired to apply the correcting force to form a belt-like body; and sewing up the belt-like body to form the tightening part. Alternately, the method for producing the corrective undergarment comprises forming at least two of the tightening parts 4 on the tightening cloth, and changing the number, the width, the pitch and the folding frequency of the tightening parts to obtain correcting force corresponding to wearer's intention.
