Abstract:

To provide a corrosion prevention method for a galvanized face by which coating can be performed even if white rust is present, and the white rust is fixed so as to form a stable corrosion preventive film.

In the corrosion prevention method for a galvanized face, an alkali aqueous solution consisting mainly of an alkali silicate (M2O-nSiO2) is applied on either or both of a galvanized face and a galvanized face in which white rust is generated; wherein, M is Na, K, Li or Cs, and n is 1 to 5. And, in the corrosion prevention method for a galvanized face, an alkali aqueous solution consisting mainly of an alkali silicate and containing ammonium ions and halogen ions is applied on either or both of a galvanized face and a galvanized face in which white rust is generated.
