Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a corrosion rate meter relying on the AC constant potential method and AC constant current method in which reduction is realized in size and cost only through the software processing in a microcomputor.
CONSTITUTION: A constant current circuit 24 for feeding a to a counter electrode 6 is controlled so that the potential of a reference electrode 7 will be equal to the potential superposed on the output from a first A/D converter 22. A microcomputor 21 operates the polarization resistance based on the current applied to the counter electrode 6 and the potential fluctuation of the reference electrode 7 by means of a voltage superposed on the current flowing into the counter electrode 6 and the corrosion potential, or by controlling the A/D converter 22 so that the output therefrom will be equal to the potential of the reference electrode 7.
