Title:
CORROSION-RESISTANT HIGH-PERMEABILITY ALLOY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5690953
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enhance the corrosion resistance and magnetic characteristics of an Fe alloy contg. Si, Al and Hf by adding one or more among Pb and specified VIII group metals to the alloy.

CONSTITUTION: This alloy with corrosion resistance and high permeability is obtd. by adding 0.01W7wt% in total of one or more among 0.01W3wt% each of Ru, Rh, Os, Ir, Pt and Pb to a base alloy consisting of, by wt., 3W12% Si, 4W8% Al, 0.05W2% Hf and the balance Fe. Since this alloy is a high permeability alloy with superior corrosion resistance and satisfactory magnetic characteristics, when a magnetic head core is manufactured with this alloy, it can maintain high performance over a long time.
