Title:
CORROSION RESISTANT SUPERPOSEDLY COATED STEEL PRODUCTS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6233793
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To develop superposedly coated iron and steel products having excellent resistance to corrosion and wear by forming a Zn plating layer, Zn base Ni alloy plating layer and, if necessary, chromate film on the surface of the iron and steel products then forming a resin layer thereon. CONSTITUTION:The surface of the iron and steel members 1 such as constituting parts for an automobile to be used in severe corrosive environment are subjected to preliminary treatments including degreasing, derusting and cleaning and thereafter the relatively thick Zn plating layer 2 is formed to about 8-20mu on the surface 1' thereof. The Zn-base Ni alloy plating layer 3 contg. 5-15wt% Ni is formed to 1-6mu thickness on the surface 2'. A resin layer 4 of an olefin resin, chlorine resin, epoxy resin, etc., having the excellent wear resistance is coated on the surface 3' and is baked at a high temp. The chromate film 5 is otherwise formed on the surface 3' of the Zn-base Ni alloy plating layer and thereafter the resin film may be formed thereon. The superposedly coated steel products having excellent resistance to corrosion and wear is obtd.
