Title:
CORROSION RESISTANT TUNGSTEN ALLOY AND OSCILLATOR SMALL-SIZE RADIO COMMUNICATOR AND DECORATIVE PARTS USING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH11302766
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain a sintered W alloy having excellent sintering property which can be sintered at a low temp., which is dense with high specific gravity, and which has excellent corrosion resistance and good productivity without producing defective products by specifying the compsn. comprising Ni, Mo and W.

This corrosion-resistant W alloy consists of, by weight, 1.0 to 12%, preferably 1.0 to 2.5% Ni; >12 to 30% Mo and the balance W and inevitable impurities. The alloy is produced by uniformly mixing W, Ni and Mo powders in specified proportions, compacting into a specified form and sintering in a nonoxidizing atmosphere at about 1300 to 1350°C. The obtd. W alloy has about 13.7 to 17.2 Mg/m3 density and is excellent in wear resistance and scratching resistance. Therefore, the obtd. W alloy can be used as an oscillator having large inertial force and has a stable function for a long time without oxidation. By forming a Au or Ti coating layer of 2 to 5 μm thickness on the surface, a decorative product having massive appearance can be obtd. at a low cost.
