Title:
CORRUGATED CARDBOARD AND INTERIOR MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2743328
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To carry out the low temp. molding and prevent the production of gas deteriorating the working environment by coating or impregnating a core and/or a liner with a etherified starch.
CONSTITUTION: Corrugated cardboard 1 consists of a core 2 composed of paper and the liners 3 bonded to both surfaces of the core 2. A soln. containing about 10wt.% of etherified starch represented by formula (wherein St is starch and M is alkali metal) is applied to the surfaces of the liners 13 in a coating amt. of about 120g/m2 in terms of an etherified starch solid. This corrugated cardboard 1 is hot-pressed in a mold 4 consisting of lower and upper molds 5, 6 at about 150°C for about 30sec to be molded into a predetermine shape. Etherified starch is curred by self-crossing during hot pressing to impart humidity resistance, shape retention and rigidity to the corrugated cardboard 1. The production of gas deteriorating the working environment can be prevented during hot pressing.
