Abstract:
A composition for topical application to the skin contains, as a fatty product to provide a nongreasy protective and emollient film thereon, a polyether oligomer having the formula wherein R is alkyl having 1-12 carbon atoms; R1, R2, R3 and R4 represent hydrogen or alkyl having 1-6 carbon atoms, with at least two of R1, R2, R3 and R4 being hydrogen; m is 1-4; n has an average value equal to or greater than 2; and the number of carbon atoms in each repetitive unit being at least 4.
