PURPOSE: To obtain a cosmetic having remarkably improved moisture retainability and capable of stably keeping moisture in a cosmetic over a long period, by using spherical porous polyamide resin powder in combination with a highly water-absorbing resin and a polyhydric alcohol.
CONSTITUTION: The objective cosmetic can be produced by compounding (A) a spherical porous polyamide resin powder having particle diameter of preferably 2W20μm and total pore volume of 0.25W1.5cc/g, (B) a highly water- absorbing resin such as a polyacrylic acid salt or polymethacrylic acid salt polymer or copolymer and (C) a polyhydric alcohol such as glycol, glycerol, sugar and/or pentaerythritol. The amount of the component A is 0.1W80wt%, preferably 0.3W30wt% based on the whole cosmetic and the amounts of the components B and C are 0.01W5wt% and 1W5wt%, respectively. Since the cosmetic has the above effects, it gives moistness, springiness and softness to the skin and hair and has excellent feeling to the skin, etc.
