PURPOSE: To provide a cotton comber having a combing cylinder with a diameter of larger than a specific level and having more than specific number of combing plates arranged in a specific region of the circumference of the cylinder, facilitating the penetration of combing needle into combing fringe and giving sufficient combing action.

CONSTITUTION: A plurality of combing needles are linearly arranged on a combing plate and a plurality of said combing plates are arranged in a specific region of a circumference of a combing cylinder parallel to the axial line of the cylinder. The diameter of the combing cylinder of a cotton comber is made larger than 7 inches (177mm) and ≥23 combing plates are arranged in a specific region of the circumferential part of the cylinder.
