To provide a cotton knitted fabric which is thin, light, and warm, and gives comfortable wear feeling, even if cotton is used as a main material.

The cotton knitted fabric contains not less than 50 wt% of a yarn composed of not less than 60 wt% of cotton having not less than 110 pieces/inch of natural twists, the yarn having 2.0-4.0 of a twist coefficient and 50-120 English count of fineness. The cotton is preferably composed of ultra-long cotton A having 2.6-3.5 μg/inch of average fineness of Micronaire fineness, and ultra-long cotton B having 3.6-4.2 μg/inch of average fineness of Micronaire fineness. The cotton fabric is distinctly useful for clothes such as winter clothes, particularly clothes such as under wears and sport shirts.
