To provide a countenance simulation method which realizes an optical simulation such as make-up without a change in the three-dimensional spatial coordinate and is used as a communication tool by indexing a change in coordinates of parts of a living body in a 3D conformation.
A machine is used to measure a change in coordinates in a 3D conformation based on a Moire fringes method using a point light source and diffraction grating. A certain countenance has three-dimensional change according to a specified rule, for example, when a person has a smile in his/her face, his/her cheeks rise. When a person becomes angry, a part between the brows and the corners of the mouth rise. An optical effect such as a make-up simulates these countenances. A three-dimensional image imitating a smile is created using a color graduation, that is, a make-up is performed by simulating an optical change caused by a three-dimensional change in countenances.
